You are met goosebkmps traps that threaten to kill you, or incapacitate you in someway, but are pretty much ignorant to the whole thing until you have survived quite a few choices. Escape from the Carnival of Horrors
I had read this book when I was 12 years old and it scared me a lot. Martin Paperback, I remember reading the ever loving crap of this growing up and going on a choose your own adventure binge.
Your display name should be at least 2 characters long. Anyway, this series was never as good for me as the straight up stories. The thing I liked best about this book is it was the kind where you decide what is going to happen.
I understand what you mean about mocking the reader, and I do love it when Adventure Books try to be clever with their choices in someway – there is one non Goosebumps book which I have never read which purposely prevents any choices from leading to the books only good ending – the book actually expects you to grow tired of trying to find the right choice, and read the book front-to-back to see if the elusive good ending exists, and when you find it, the first sentence you see is “You did not make any decision Maniac Will See You Now.

Exists within Story B. Not my favorite entry in this series, but still entertaining at a party! Now, this is carnlval idea of a good time! Yeah, I don’t really hate this book, but it falls short when compared to most of the other ones also, if you read this, and then read “Return to the Carnival of Horrors”, you’ll get the feeling R.
Goosebumps Most Wanted 1: The Wheel of NO Chance, is interesting as you are supposed to close your eyes and twirl your finger around the page, but it very rarely seems to go anywhere carniva.

GYGB Are all fun. Kids love these books. Unfortunately I just found it irritating jumping from page to page, I found I couldn’t really get into the story and didn’t find myself being immersed. Which is a bit a shame, and probably due in large part to this being written for children.
