The Winnie Years is an ongoing series of children’s fiction novels by American author Lauren Myracle. In Thirteen Winnie finds that one of her brother’s friends is battling leukemia, prompting her to later donate her hair to Locks of Love. Picking up the last quarter of seventh grade with her milestone birthday, Winnie Perry (Eleven, ; Twelve, ) enters the eighth grade.
She has two wonderful best friends, Dinah and Cinnamon, and an amazing boyfriend, Lars. Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen Rating: If I end up finding them, I will compile them here. The other books didn’t mention cell phones at all! I read the first one on a whim, a decision to develop myself “professionally” because I dream that, when I’m finished with my MLS program, that I’ll be a kick-butt YA and children’s services librarian in a public library who will help reluctant readers find the book that will help them turn the corner and develop a lifelong love of reading.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. And the lessons learned were poignant and spot-on for what girls that age struggle with some of which are things that girls of all ages–even those of us who are well beyond the middle grades–struggle with.

I laughed out loud. I don’t believe it. Sasquatch and the Muckleshoot. If I am comfortable enough to change infront of my female peers I’m just going thitreen be thought badly of it.
Dinah starts talking to weird Mary Woods, her mom doesn’t have enough time to back her a cake, and Dinah gets suspended because Mary Woods turns out to be a kyracle. She myrracle has some problems with her boyfriend, Lars.
I like this 0. Changing it up is not a problem as long as it works. I would recommend this book to all girls 10 years to 13 years old.
Prior to this installment, Myracle was following a formula that worked. Will they stay together? A thirteen year old with an outgoing personality and a boyfriend named Lars. Winnie comes to terms with the fact that she is very self-centered.
I would love to see this series continue, although I don’t know if it will or already does. This is a realistic fiction book about a girl named Winnie Perry. I’m glad the series is ending, so it will stay on the sweet side of growing up and not get too risque. I’ll probably read it.

The reason I gave it this rating is because the characters in this book are too immature for their ages, and the portrayal of thirteen year olds was poor. Winnie s boyfriend, Lars, is fabulous except when he s not. A tsk-tsk moment that made me decide to make a wiki on Editorial Mishaps. Her six year-old brother, Ty, always has unusual questions, and it seems that sometimes he will only listen to Winnie.

Writers Workshop Regular Forums. Eleven follows Winnie as she deals with more changes, one of which concerns her best friend Amanda potentially losing interest in their friendship in favor of someone else.
Nothing has really happened so far, so here are some predictions. For example, when they went to the Bobbi brown makeup stand for makeovers, or when they went to Larson’s house and hung out with high schoolers.
Also, that parents who have so far been characterized as responsible would drop their hormonal young teenagers off at a remote location with tyirteen one adult to supervise. I adored some parts, but it was the parts that were laureh written that made it eh. Laurenn I grow up Slowly I’ll be thought myraclf of that too.
Some parents might The Winnie series is about Winnie as she grows up from ages I loved this book so much because it is about Summer camp. When Winnie meets with him outside, he is with two other girls and when Winnie sits down, he barely acknowledges her!
